East Side Punks is a Grammy winning music production/songwriting team operating out of East Side Sound studios in New York City's Lower East Side. We specialize in music for artists, advertising, television, film and virtual reality.
Fran Cathcart is the owner of Eastside Sound, a premier professional recording studio on the Lower East Side of Manhattan. Fran is a two-time Grammy-winning producer, guitarist, and engineer, with over 20 years of experience across multiple genres, including classical, hip hop, jazz, rock, folk, and R&B. He has worked with artists such as: Mariah Carrey, Sting, Joss Stone, Beyonce, Les Paul, Esperanza Spalding, Eric Clapton, Jeff Beck, Herbie Hanckock, Santana, to name a few. He has a BS in Music from New York University, and began exploring the art of audio engineering with his own compositions. His deep love of music continues to fuel his creative explorations.
Roman Rojas is a Latin Grammy and AICP award nominee music producer and composer born in Caracas, Venezuela.
Roman has worked for some of the top music production companies in the US composing and performing music for brands such as; Telemundo 2018 World Cup, Chevy, Chips Ahoy, Wallmart, Subway, World Vision, Conde Nast Traveller, Cavit Wines, Jet Blue, Time Warner Cable, Macy’s, Paramount Pictures ,Vonage, Buddah Bar Paris, Arrow Electronics, Master Card, among others.
When it comes to artists has worked with Eugenio Derbez star of films such as; "Overboard", “How To Be A Latin Lover”, “No instructions Included” among others. Roman also collaborates on a regular basis with 2017 Latin Grammy award winner Mireya Ramos and is currently producing iconic Venezuelan violinist/activist Wuilly Arteaga ‘s first single out in August of 2019.
Asides from traditional media Rojas has also been working on music and sound design for several virtual reality projects.
Travis Nilan is an award-winning songwriter whose voice and music can be heard in a variety of national commercials and feature films. A recipient of the Abe Olman Scholarship from the Songwriters Hall of Fame, his recent placements include the Tina Fey/Amy Poehler movie "Sisters", as well as brands including Skittles, Charmin, Norton, and Zespri. In 2017 Travis sung a duet with Steven Tyler of Aerosmith for the Skittles Super Bowl commercial.
